Janice Goodson, head housekeeper at the Hampton Inn & Suites Coeur d’Alene, is an outstanding leader and an inspiration to her team.

“Janice works harder than any woman I have ever met, has a heart of gold and is willing to always to go the extra mile,” Dayna Austin, Braintree Hospitality employee, said. “Over the time we have spent together here at the hotel, seeing her face makes coming to work something special.”

Throughout her career, Janice has learned the importance of truly listening and getting to know each member of her team in order to achieve the best results.

“They all have different personalities, so talking to them I must listen and then make my comments,” she said. “I find that this is the best way to get to know them, and they get to know me. At the end everyone gets what they want, and I get a great team.”

As a leader, Janice motivates her employees to be the best they can be and supports them every step of the way.

“Janice made it a point to let me know she had always had my back and always worked around my personal schedule,” Teresa Rose, Braintree Hospitality employee, said. “She shaped me into this woman I’ve become – very serious about my job, dependable, loving, and most importantly, not taking any crap.”

Janice lives by a powerful quote in her work, courtesy of her assistant, Teresa, of almost 10 years: “If you’re not sweating, you’re not working.”

Thanks, Janice, for being an outstanding employee and integral member of the Braintree Hospitality family!
