J. Scott Ableman

As the Chairman of Braintree Hospitality, Scott has over 36 years of experience working in the hospitality industry.  He graduated from Boise State University in 1979 with a degree in accounting.  He began his career working for Arthur Anderson & Company in their Boise office in 1979 and earned his CPA designation in 1981.

In 1982 he went to work for a Boise based hospitality client (F&C Corporation) as the controller   where he was bitten by the “Hospitality Bug” and has never left the industry.   He worked for International Innkeepers for a time in California as CFO and then came back to Idaho as Vice President and CFO for AmeriTel Inns, Inc for 29 years.

He currently serves on the boards of The Boise Convention and Visitors Bureau and Special Olympics Idaho.  He loves the hospitality industry and he loves Idaho as well.  He bleeds blue in support of the Boise State Broncos and seldom misses a football game.  He and his very supportive wife Debbie have five wonderful children that all “bleed blue” too and share their father’s passion for all things Broncos.  When not cheering on the Broncos, you can find Scott fishing in Alaska with his friends and sons.
